Shayla is a communications consultant who assists writing challenged clients put their best communication forward.
On a more personal note, Shayla is simply a girl who likes to write.
Credentials, you ask? Shayla is a published, award-winning writer with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in communications from Ball State University. In her previous life, she composed professional documents for career seeking students as an employee in BSU's career center. Simultaneously, she freelanced as a notetaker for students with disabilities. In addition to providing editing services, her resume includes content creation for print and radio publications, nationally recognized speech competitions, as well as for a myriad of clients over the last decade.
While climbing the corporate ladder, her professional career relocated her to four states in five years. Still, she continued to hone her craft as a freelancer in her spare time. During her many professional roles and moves, she found there’s a need for writers within the professional field. Seeking to satisfy the demand, she launched Sincerely Shayla.
Today, Shayla fuels her writing passion through Sincerely Shayla, which offers a myriad of creative and professional writing services. Leveraging her diverse background, Shayla coaches new writers as well as college students on ways to elevate their brands -personal and business- with words.
